Residence card and residence legalisation in Poland

Your case is handled by an advocate, not an agency.

A residence card is the document confirming a residence permit that has already been granted. The application is filed electronically through the Case Handling Module (MOS), and the case is decided by the voivode competent for your place of residence. A deadline set in an official request is binding. We handle these cases across Poland, for foreigners and employers.

Before we take a case

First we assess the legal basis, the documents and the risks. We do not promise an outcome or a date, because the decision is issued by the authority, not by the firm.

If we take the case on, we say plainly what is possible, what we will do and what it costs. That is what we mean by honest legal help.

Cost and contract

The quote depends on the case, but the rules are fixed and you know them before you sign.

See the fees
  • We confirm the price before the contract is signed, and it stays fixed in the contract.
  • The cost of the consultation is credited against the fee if you instruct us.
  • Rates in the fee list are indicative and given as prices from.
  • We take no fee for finding work, because we are not an employment agency.

How we run a case

Five stages. At each one you know what is happening and what comes next.

  1. 1

    Describe the situation

Fill in the form or write on WhatsApp. At this stage we ask for no documents at all.

  2. 2

    Case check

Within one business day we tell you whether the firm can take the case.

  3. 3

    Consultation

We assess the legal basis, the documents and the risks. You get a plan of action and a document list.

  4. 4

    Contract and documents

A fixed price written into the contract. We prepare the application, submission or appeal.

  5. 5

    Running the case

We file, watch the deadlines, answer the office and keep you informed of the status.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Legal Stay and who provides the service?

Legal Stay is a trading name of Kancelaria Adwokacka Andrzej Bołtryk. We are not a separate company or an agency: your contract is with the firm, and an advocate is responsible for the quality of the help.

Do you help find work in Poland?

No. We provide legal help in residence and work matters: documents, submissions, representation before the office. We are not an employment agency and we publish no job offers.

Do you guarantee a residence card?

No. Decisions are issued solely by public authorities and no lawyer can honestly guarantee an outcome. Before we take a case we assess the legal basis, the documents and the risks, and we tell you plainly how we see your situation.

What language can I deal with you in?

Polish, Russian and English. First contact and day-to-day communication can be in English; the legal analysis and the submissions are prepared by the firm.

Do I have to travel to Białystok?

No. We handle cases across Poland, and most formalities, including filing through MOS, happen online. Attending in person is needed only where the office requires it, for instance for fingerprints.

How should I prepare for the consultation?

Have your passport, your current residence document or visa, your employment contract or other proof of income, and any correspondence from the office, especially a request or a decision if you have received one. The fuller the information, the more concrete the assessment.

What should I do if I have a request with a short deadline?

Write on WhatsApp, Telegram or Viber and give the date on the request. The deadline runs from delivery, so the first thing we do is check how much of it is left.

Describe your case

We will check whether the firm can take the case and reply within one business day.

You have a letter from the office and a running deadline

Write in a messenger. It is the fastest route and needs no form.

Do not send scans of your passport or of a decision in the first message. We will ask for them through a secure channel once the case is accepted.

You are planning an application and have time to describe it

Fill in the short qualifying form. Three steps, no documents.
